New opportunities for creativity - Radiant Orchid for 2014

New Year, to me, is always as opening a fresh, clean page. I have so many plans for this year. Sometimes it even scares me a little bit, but then I remind myself that I need to continue walking towards my dream step by step.

Oh, just read what I wrote above and it sounds too dramatic. So I will add some color to it.

Today I was looking for trend colors of 2014 and find this article from Pantone LLC. So there is the new color of the year - Radiant Orchid - Orchid Shining. It recognized as the universal color of clothing for men and women and according to the company “this color means joy, love, health and opens up more opportunities for creativity and original ideas“. I love it.

Guess what! I checked my own pieces of jewelry and there are three items of Radiant Orchid that I already have in the Call of Earth shop.

Voila!

A new challenge for the beaders - Eyes of Owl DIY Beading tutorial

For me, writing is always a challenge and so is making a pattern.
So this time it comes together - this tutorial is for intermediate to advanced beaders.
Long time ago I made these earrings:

Later, I was asked by one of  my customers if I could make a pattern for it.
Well, it took me a while, actually, even longer  - but after all it was ready.
So about a week ago I just uploaded it to my etsy shop and I invite the beaders among you who is looking for a challenge - try making these earrings.

One more thing - I have decided that my patterns would be available for purchase and instant download also outside of etsy.

and the Holiday season 2013 the best seller earrings are....

Golden drop dangle earrings

Yes !!! I'm so glad that these handmade dangle earrings of my new own design became the top seller for this Holiday season.

I'm happy and proud of myself. The idea for these earrings came to my head while I was on my road-trip and saw the golden wheat fields through the drops of the rain on my windshield. So when I was back to home - I just made it, went to my backyard to take some pictures of it and wow - these earrings rock !

And again - thank you mother nature for the inspiration.

Psst... I still have a few pairs of these earrings in my shop.

How I made my first beading pattern - Native American Style earrings

Soon after I have designed  these earrings I was asked to create the pattern for it.
Well, it was a real challenge to me. I had to learn how to use Inskape and how to take pictures of beading process. After a month of hard work the patter was ready.

The pattern contains full step by step instruction with clear and detailed colored illustrations and is for intermediate to advanced beaders. It is available at my Call of Earth Etsy shop.

Although, the Inkscape is still a challenge to me, I decided to create more beading patterns and currently I'm working on the pattern for lovely, beadwoven bracelet.

Peyote ring looks similar to Tiffany ring

Beadwoven rings are my passion - I love to create them.
When I have found Galvanized color Delica seed beads, I knew that it would be great for rings.
The first one I made with galvanized silver colors beads:

Some time ago one of my customers leave the feedback:

"I love my ring. I wore it today, and got a compliment that it looked similar to a Tiffany ring"

I was surprised and pleased at the same time.
It's really amazing ring - so comfortable on the finger.

Recently I make it in additional colors: cooper, gold, metallic bronze

Minimal Jewelry - Summer 2012

Dear friends,
I would like to present a new collection of minimal earrings of my own design - Minimal Jewelry Summer 2012.

These gorgeous in their simplicity earrings are made with tube beaded beads that are connected to steel wire.

While working on this collection, I created earrings that could be wear both  for the morning walk on the beach and also for a cocktail party evening.

I'm really loving this organic color of Terracotta earrings.

Nautical earrings of deep blue color add instant glamour to any style or color dress.

Having fun at wanelo

I know I promised to write more frequently, but both my shops take a lot of time.

It is not only creating the jewelry, but a lot of work related to exposing the shop on the web. Recently I found very nice site - wanelo. 

I like it as place where I can show my creations but also I really like the possibility to find unique products and stores I have never heard of (yep the second part is their slogan) :).

Also what I like on wanelo it is the "collections" feature - you can create by yourself or look at collections created by other people.

continuation of the dream

This pendant has appeared in my dream. Waking up in the morning, there was a feeling that the big part of me is still at the mercy of the sleep, and that part of the dream demanded its manifestation. Probably many of you know this feeling, to be driving by your dream.

The whole morning I couldn't concentrate on anything. Finally, like in the dream, I have choose colors of beads, took the wire, crochet and started crocheting.
I lost the sense of the time and I completely waked up only after the pendand was ready, lying in front of me on the table.

There couldn't be another name for my creation - I called it "The dream".
