The Woman and the Cat
It's one of my favorite’s stories. In short, in prehistoric times the Woman told to the wild Man to move to the cave and tame wild animals for their needs. Dog, Horse, and Cow come out of the Wild Woods and become tame. But Cat refused - “I am not a friend and I am not a servant. I am the Cat who walks by himself and all places are alike to me.” After all, although the Cat could sit by the fire in the cave and had his milk, when night comes, he is once again the Cat that walks by himself.
Speaking of the Woman and the Cat, let me introduce Albina – the great bead working artist and a cat-person (by her words) :). All cat lovers should see her lovely story – “My pets”.
Tribal woman - she is a special story. Her knowledge of the Nature didn't come from numerous experiments and statistics it is intuitive and comes from the deeps of her heart. All around her endowed with the meaning. Her Jewelry is not an exception.
Basic shapes (lines, dots, triangles and squares) – represents different energies or aspects of the Nature.
To me, in this story, the Cat and the prehistoric Woman are just two aspects of the Nature of women. The Woman in the story represents a wife for her husband and a mother to her children - the hearth keeper, while the Cat is freedom loving, the most wild aspect of the women. I believe that both these aspects are very important and to keep them under the same “roof” is a greatest talent and challenge for every woman.
Happy 8th March my dear women!

Life is Like a Pomegranate
A few days ago, while surfing the web, I came across some post by Natalia about the city she is living near – the Granada city. I have a long love affair with Spain, so each authentic piece of information about it excites me a lot.
So I discovered that “granada” in Spanish means pomegranate and it is the heraldic device of Granada.
Funny :), I really like pomegranates, not only to eat but for it symbolism. In Jewish tradition it represents fruitfulness, knowledge, learning, and wisdom.
I was wondering, how comes that I don’t have any piece of jewelry with it? Certainly, I’m going to create one soon.
Meanwhile you can enjoy my new “treasure” - Life is like a pomegranate.
Adios,
Maria
